Thomas Kahle
I am a post-doc in mathematics working in Raymond Hemmecke's group at TU Munich. In September I will join OvGU Magdeburg and CDS as a junior professor for discrete mathematics and applications to biology.
My research is in commutative algebra, combinatorics, and computation with a focus on applications in algebraic statistics and biology.
I graduated from the Max-Planck-Institute for mathematics in the sciences in May 2010 and then spent two years as an EPDI post doc visiting FIM @ ETH Zürich, Institut Mittag-Leffler in Stockholm, the Isaac-Newton-Institute in Cambridge, and MFO. After the EPDI I participated in the commutative algebra program at MSRI, Berkeley.
